We are hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. If you’re passionate about early childhood development and have experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool education, we’d love to meet you. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia apporach and create emergent curriculum based off the children's interests.

What You’ll Do:
- Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum with your teaching team
- Observe and support children’s interests and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with families about their child’s progress
- Promote positive social behaviors and model respectful interactions
- Plan a balanced daily schedule with a mix of indoor/outdoor and active/quiet activities
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive compensation
- Hourly Pay Rate: $35 - $40
- On demand pay with UKG Wallet
Convenient Part-Time Schedule:  Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 12:30pm
 
Any potential pay rate offers will be based on candidate's level of education and experience.

Preschool Lead Teacher Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following:
     Early Childhood Education
     Special Education
     Child Development with a focus of study on Birth to 2nd grade
         or Nursery
     Child Psychology
- NYS certification (or planning to receive certification) in the following areas:
     Nursery to 6th grade
     Birth to 2nd grade, Students with Disabilities – birth to 2nd grade
- Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and emergent curriculum.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must meet all state preschool teacher requirements
- High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours
- Demonstrated classroom management skills 
 Preschool Lead Teacher Job Responsibilities:
- A Preschool Teacher will accept the philosophy of Cadence Education and will work as part of the teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center
- Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child’s day
- Collaborate with other passionate preschool teachers and leaders to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Respect and observe children's interests. Intervene when needed to maintain safety. Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities
- Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate
- Share ideas in planning a daily schedule which provides a balance of activities: quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor, etc.
