Company Overview

 

Sr. Financial Analyst Required Skills and Education:

  • BA/BS degree in business, finance or related field
  • 3-5 years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience
  • Superior skills with Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in a BI tool (PowerPivot, Hyperion, PowerBI, Prophix, Tableau, etc.)
  • Strong qualitative, quantitative financial skills and strong spreadsheet, data-management, and presentation skills
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Strong attention to customer service; adaptable to different work styles and personalities
  •  

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in FP&A planning software: Workday (Adaptive Planning), Anaplan, Planful, etc.
  • CPA / MBA or advanced degree
  • Public Accounting / Big 4 experience
  • Private Equity experience

Sr. Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

 

  • Engages with executive leadership to provide financial analysis/scenario modeling to assist with decision making on business opportunities and challenges
  • Support the month-end close and deliver actionable insights through monthly financial reports, weekly financial reports, and budget variance analysis
  • Assist FP&A team with annual budget and monthly forecasting across a full three statement financial model (income statement, cash flow, balance sheet)
  • Utilize an understanding of operational metrics to point out trends and track effects on the business and financial results
  • Queries data from a BI tool for regular and ad-hoc administrative and financial reports and interprets the results
  • Provide support to school and field leadership for variance analysis, business analytics, and monthly performance review meetings
  • Partner with Corporate Development team to track and benchmark financial results of school acquisitions, and provide actionable insight to improve school performance
